📝 WEEKLY PROMPT

What if you experienced your life out of chronological order?

Instead of moving from childhood to adulthood in a straight line, imagine encountering your memories, milestones, and turning points out of sequence. You might begin with the end. You might relive a future before you understand its cause. You might meet your younger self after you’ve already become someone else.

As you experiment, consider what changes when order dissolves. How does meaning shift when an outcome is known before the choice that led to it? What happens to regret, anticipation, or suspense when cause and effect are scrambled? Does knowledge become a burden or a gift?

This weekly companion prompt is free and open to everyone. No submission required.

If you’re writing toward the March contest, consider this prompt one entry point into the theme.
